Midsommar Wedding
Live Oak Campground, Santa Barbara California
June 13th and 14th, 2015

An Eco-Wedding, a Festival + more dirt....
We are happy to be celebrating our marriage outdoors, beneath the live oak trees and surrounded by nature. We strive to be mindful of respecting and preserving the environment in our daily lives, and wish to integrate this value into our wedding.
Thus we have some eco-friendly suggestions for our lovely guests:
1. We invite all of our guest to wear something to the wedding that you already own, rather than buying something new.
2. Please bring your own fork.
3. Please bring your own coffee cup.
4. Avoid bringing disposable items.
5. Please, no dogs or any other pets!
Midsommar Festival
The summer solstice (Midsommar in Swedish) is a big celebration in Sweden. We will build a Midsommar Stång (maypole), decorate it and dance around in the Swedish Style.
We ask each guest to bring one flower from their garden (or someone else's!) for this ceremony.
Other Dirt
The grounds of the camp are mostly dirt, so it's best to wear comfortable shoes (not heels). The attire is "Camper Classy". It will be pretty warm during the day (80's and 90's) and it cools down at night so bring some layers. The sun can be strong - bring sunglasses, sun hat and sunscreen. There are shaded areas underneath the friendly live oak trees. Campers will need to bring their own gear (see the Camping section on this website).
If you have one, please bring a beach chair or camping chair to use during the ceremony.
Fires
Importantly - there are no personal campfires allowed at Live Oak, but we will have one designated safe place to share a communal bonfire. So, if you are able to bring some wood! (no pressure-treated, painted, wood with staples, nails etc.)
